Describe the challenges and key objectives
To show a broad range of typefaces available through Font Shop, Font Works and Atomic Type and how big the part of typography plays in the life of designers.

Describe the brief from the client
Sometimes the solution arrives before a brief is written. We noticed the connection between the number of letters in the alphabet and the weeks in a year 26 lowercase and 26 uppercase and 52 weeks in a year (2010, however, spans 53 weeks, so we also included an ampersand). We approached Font Shop, Font Works and Atomic Type and between us decided to design and produce a typographic calendar, involving, some of the country's leading typographers and designers to promote their services.

Describe how you arrived at the final design
We allocated an individual character to 53 of the country's leading designers / typographers, and asked them to choose their favourite typeface of that character choice, and write 25-50 words why they like it so much.

Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
While Font Shop and Atomic Type gave their calendars to clients and contributors Font works put theirs up for sale in order to raise awareness of the service. The calendars sold out within a week.
