Synopsis:
This holiday season Utoka’s team of artists collaborated on the concept and production of a practical gift inspired by the young creative agency’s clean, stylized branding – but with a thoughtfully designed, disruptive presentation that breaks through the clutter.
Taking their inspiration from the boutique’s signature branding, Utöka’a artists created a hybrid concept for a set of hand-crafted coasters that share their favorite holiday recipes on the front, and the company’s bold geometric logo and brand-inspired design on the flip-side, combining both functionality and great design.
Constructed out of high-count cotton paper, the gift set is packaged in a luxurious, high-quality gift box that dons the company’s foil embossed logo.The attention to detail that Utöka’s interdisciplinary team of designers, creative directors, illustrators and fabricators’ gave to the project ensured that the give-away reflected their personal aesthetic as well as Utöka’s signature style.
“We set out to create a memorable holiday gift that’s functional and fanciful, with a visually appealing design system that had a gravitational pull,” says Liz Guymon, VP of business development. “The hand-crafted box set is both a conversation piece, as well as a showcase for Utöka's favorite family dishes.”
Utöka is a Swedish word that means ‘to expand,’ which is the core tenet of the Atlanta-based creative agency's philosophy and embodies the passion for exploration that drives its multi-disciplined team.
