Describe the brief from the client
Unknown to many, Filipino artists are among the world’s best toy sculptors and modifiers. Binil is an art exhibit that showcases Filipino artists’ talents in toy customisation.

Describe the challenges and key objectives
Draw artists, art connoisseurs and toy collectors to the exhibit.

Describe how you arrived at the final design
Staying true to vinyl toy customisation, raw hand-painted posters of freakish customised toys were made and replicated to announce the event. These were put around the Malugay area – a favourite haunt of artists.

Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
In its weeklong run, hundreds of guests graced the exhibit – a success by counterculture measure. Among these were celebrities and art enthusiasts. All of the customised toys on exhibit were sold as legitimate art pieces. Even the hand-painted posters were bought as well. Following this success, a second exhibit is currently in the works.
