TOKYO BOUSAI is the unprecedented and unique disaster preparedness project that dealt nothing with reinforcing infrastructures or buildings but with people's mind. It was a book distributed to every 7.5 million households in Tokyo for free. Packed with unique survival tips and knowledge made, edited and designed exclusively for Tokyoites. Pages were designed carefully to deliver this difficult issue to the readers. Some pages were shocking and some pages were entertaining. It provoked a nationwide awareness and made people prepared for the disaster. Protecting citizens by the power of design.
