In Australia, 1 in 4 children are overweight or obese, and few have healthy role models. The problem is cyclical. Parents that find time to get to the gym, can’t take their kids. So, the YMCA chose to do something about it.
The YMCA Playnasium is an innovation in gym and play equipment allowing parents to use their child’s weight as exercise weights – so they can work out whilst spending quality time with their kids. Installed in parks across Australia, the YMCA Playnasium helps parents become healthier role models, encourages children to exercise before they are even old enough to exercise.
