Description of Ambient execution
This one-day only installation was set up inside Central Park in New York City. It took place on World Autism Awareness day on April 2, 2009. 150 baby strollers were left seemingly unattended to get people’s attention and to get them to have a closer look. When they looked into the strollers, a baby doll was visible inside with the campaign message stitched onto its blanket: “1 in 150 children is diagnosed with autism. Learn the signs at autismspeaks.org.” The most important objective was to communicate that 1 in 150 children will be diagnosed with autism.
