English Translation of Main Headlines
We Want the Light
Music is a rebellion against inhumanity

Music could not be silenced even in concentration camps and ghettos in Nazi Germany. Music meant day by day survival for captives, although it has brought complete liberation only for very few of them.

The documentary film We Want the Light is about their fights.

The title of the film is a quotation of a 12-year-old girl called Eva Pickova, who was a captive in Theresienstadt. The title reflects perfectly that music can bring light into man’s life even in the cruelest circumstances.
