VAT receipts used as new media to promote the night bus. Brief In Belgium it is obligatory to give VAT receipts with the bills in restaurants. Since every client receives such a receipt, bus company De Lijn saw this as an ideal medium to promote the night bus. Challenge We added a message to each receipt, inviting people to take the night bus instead of the car. This way they can have an extra drink without having to worry about it. Result Clients of over 50 restaurants in 5 major Belgian cities got this message with their bill. The perfect time to consider another drink and take the night bus later on.
