Description of Ambient execution
To increase awareness of illegal imports into the European Union, the Dutch Tax Department/Dutch Customs developed the concept of "Forbidden Gifts" during the Holiday Season (Christmas). Several packages of "Forbidden Gifts" were placed on the baggage claim conveyor belts of inbound International Flights at Schiphol Airport. These packages were suspicious looking items wrapped as nice gifts. For example crates with endangered wildlife and furs. All of which were labeled with the message, "Something to declare?"
