English Translation of Main Headlines
The global 'Men Vs. Women' campaign was supported locally with this print and wild-poster campaign. The campaign depicted the famous painting of Vermeer, 'The Milkmaid', coupled with the caption, 'Humble women belong in a museum'. The posters were strategically placed around Amsterdam's museum quarter of “Museum Plein” where museums such as the prestigious Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk Museum, Van Gogh Museum and Royal Concert Hall are located. The Rijksmuseum, for example, displays the original painting of “The Milkmaid” by Vermeer.
