Synopsis:
Reno and Las Vegas, Nevada both have significant populations of homeless youth. Since neither city has a dedicated homeless shelter for teens, these kids are forced to spend their nights on the street. This is dangerous enough in times of good weather, but during winter it can be deadly. For our agency’s holiday greeting, we dedicated our efforts to finding a way to help these large populations of homeless youth and raise awareness for the organizations in each city that provide them with support.
Let’s share some warm wishes for the holidays. Literally.
There are hundreds of homeless youth and adults who have no choice but to sleep on the streets. In winter, this can be deadly.
