English Synopsis
In the 21st century, Poverty has never been more contemporary. With eboy, a pixel artist, Amnesty created an image to show that poverty is - alas - modern. To highlight these situations of misery, Amnesty launched a site: www.1millionclicksagainstpoverty.org Amnesty asked web users for their participation in unveiling the visual. “To make poverty disappear, you need to see it first”. Web users were invited to click on the pixels to reveal different situations of misery. Each click coloured a pixel, adding a tiny piece of detail to the illustration consisting of 1 million parts to click. The poster was completed in only 3 days.
