Lidl is a discount supermarket chain that operates over 7200 stores worldwide. In Sweden there is a bit of skepticism because we think discount means you have to skimp on the quality of the food.
This ad is part of a campaign that explains how Lidl is cost conscious and cost-effective, i.e. how they cut down on unnecessary costs to keep their prices down. As a Christmas treat we wanted to advise the consumer of a smart way to save money by using the ad as a Christmas wrapping paper.
