Results and Effectiveness
The result was overwhelming: We had more than 170,000 contacts per week using a single webcam. And just as many smiling faces. People cheered at use, wrote comments, laughed. In a second step (not documented in the video) we multiplied these results by using the website superchatroulette.com enabling us to simultaneously broadcast 8 identical webcam streams.

Creative Execution
We put Harley-Davidson right in the middle of the chatroulette community. By pointing our webcam at a text chart saying: 'Sorry, I’m on the road' and displaying the logo of Harley-Davidson.

Insights, Strategy & the Idea
Our client Harley-Davidson challenged us: They wanted us to reach new target groups. On the Internet, all over the world. Our challenge: Almost no budget. And an audience that is probably more into networking and chatting than into 'old fashioned' motorbiking. We wanted to close this gap. By making a statement on one of the currently hippest social media platforms on the web: chatroulette.com. It’s the latest Internet hype with over 500,000 users per day. People from everywhere are connected via webcam. At random. They chat for seconds. And never meet again. chatroulette is regarded as being highly addictive and really entertaining. All we wanted to achieve was a statement that stressed: Riding a Harley-Davidson is still much more fun than hanging out in front of your PC and joining a virtual community.
