Describe the brief from the client
The 601 Artbook Project is an artbook contest organized every year by 601bisang since 2003. The "Artbook" pursued by 601bisang is the books that are originated from distinct perspectives that communicate successfully with readers. The winning works will be publicised through the exhibition and catalogue, where the catalogue effectively introduces new artists to the industry.

Describe the challenges and key objectives
The catalogue should be able to represent each winning work's individuality as well as putting them as a whole conveying the exhibition theme. This year's(2010) theme is "22 points" which stands for 22 artists' points of view. Since this exhibition catalogue is of artbooks, the catalogue should be inspirational as an artbook itself.

Describe how you arrived at the final design
The title "22points" represents 22 winning artists' points of view, as well as 22 dots created by unique patterns derived from each work's identity and color. Also, all the type in this book is 22 points in size.

This book tries to trace along the 22 artists' points of view while visually bringing out their messages in natural surroundings. The cover, made of 22 stickers, distincts the theme as well as inducing the viewer's participation.

Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
The artbook project that has been running for many years now, has gained much publicity in the design industry in Korea. Every year, the winning works and the catalogue are introduced in various media and are invited to join national/international exhibitions. The catalogue provides a good opportunity for the artists to show their work to the public and is utilised as a tool to encourage creative in the artbook genre. The project is also applied to some of the school curriculum or assignment hence fulfilling the educational role as well.
