Describe the brief from the client
Create a business card that is not boring and that underlines the creativity of the graphic design agency.

The agency's name means magician in Spanish. The two founders and associates of the studio are called Mateo and Goster.

Describe the challenges and key objectives
Breaking the rules of the normal business card with name, surname, phone and direction. Create an object that will generate a powerful process of memorization.

The other purpose was to have a business card without any name or surname, in order to make it work for any member of the studio (we are 6).

Describe how you arrived at the final design
One of the major tools of a magician is a playing card game. From that idea, we start to think that we can create a playing card game, which will present 52 artworks, produced by the studio. The whole game works as an agency’s portafolio.
We give the set when we want to present all our creations, in the same time, we can also pick only one card that we choose, according to the profile of the client (illustration, branding, editorial). People who receives the set feels that we give him an unusual gift instead of a regular business card.

Give some indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
The best Peruvian library in graphic design asked us to sell the set for Christmas: we sold 55 playing cards game in 3 weeks!
It allowed us to be invited to the “Festival of International Design” in Costa Rica (among 14 international designers, including Paula Sher, Joshua Davis).

The distribution of the playing cards allowed a high process of memorization of the studio: some of our new clients were recommended by former contacts who gave them several business card. We found out the business cards permit our clients to have a role of prescriber and accelerate the fame of studio.
