SFX: Music ANN: Latin American Oddities. You pull up a search engine and type in the word Peru. You are looking for a wild experience and travel all the way to Machu Pichu. You land and discover that after the Incas came the Spanish conquistadores. They interbred and from that came the thickly browed Inca. After that, came 1,300,000 Chinese. And they interbred with the Incas, who had interbred with the Spanish, and from this came the thickly browed Chinese. And then everybody interbred with everyone. The result? The thickly browed Shaolin Inca. The Chinese came from China - that we can be sure of. But why did they go so far away? Well, no-one knows because they only speak Chinese. What we do know is that with the Chinese came karaoke, and Lima became the city with the most karaoke bars per capita in the world. Under these circumstances we can assure that if you like to sing, practice kung fu and you have thick eyebrows, it’s very possible that... you are Peruvian. If our Latin American reality seems out of a movie, you should see our real movies. Cine Las Americas International Film Festival, from the 21st to the 29th of April. Austin, Texas.

Austin, Texas.

Brief Explanation
An ironic radio broadcaster speaks to his version of the ancient history of Latin America all the way to present-day, meanwhile keeping a very serious tone throughout.
