ANN: In Haiti the situation is desperate. SFX: Bongo drums ANN: The people are asking why this is happening. It’s the law of the jungle. Only the strongest survive. Lootings take place on an everyday basis. 85 per cent of the people have no food, and the rest eat poorly. The mothers walk the streets with their children, looking for something to ease their hunger. The plagues appear to have chosen this place to live. Being rich here is not being poor. Those who have a roof to sleep under, can consider themselves lucky. And on top of all this... SFX: Drums stop ANN: ...an earthquake hit. The news, before its news. Read it in Clarin.

ANN: En Haití la situación es desesperante. SFX: Bongo drums ANN: La gente se pregunta por que sucede lo que sucede. Es la ley de la selva. Sobreviven solo los mas fuertes. Los saqueos son moneda corriente. El 85% de la gente no tiene para comer, y el resto come mal. Las madres vagan con sus hijos por las calles en busca de algo para mitigar el hambre. Y las pestes parecen haber elegido este lugar para vivir. La riqueza acá es no ser tan pobre. Quien tiene un techo donde pernoctar puede considerarse un elegido. Y encima después...
