Mark: Radio ads can be used to talk to customers in all sorts of ways. That’s what makes it such a flexible marketing tool. Speaking of tools, I spoke to ‘voice over’ artist Andy Prendiville. Andy, what ads have you done recently?

Andy (Quite high pitch): Oh there, there are loads.

Mark: Hmm, I don’t recognise your voice.

Andy: Well, that’s because I change my voice according to the script. Some might call for (VOICE CHANGES) A strong, dependable voice. While others... (VOICE CHANGES) need a more friendly, warm style. (VOICE CHANGES) …or I may have to take a cool, laid back approach. (VOICE RETURNS TO NORMAL) And so on.

Mark: Wow. (sheepish) And what would your sexy voice be like?

ANDY: Oh no, I couldn’t... (CHANGES TO SEXY FEMALE VOICE) possibly do that. Then how about later?

Mark: (As if under a spell) Ohhh okay. What say I pick up around 8ish…

ANDY: (Manly cough)
