ANN: Random is when a bird craps on your head. Getting struck by lightning is random. So are shark attacks and winning the lottery. The undies you put on this morning was a random decision. Or that elephants can’t jump is a random fact. Like tossing a coin, random implies an element of chance. But with more roadblocks, more booze buses and more police patrols this festive season, there’ll be nothing random about random breath testing. A message from the Motor Accident Commission and the Government of South Australia.

Brief Explanation
The term 'random breath testing' is a bit of a misnomer around the Christmas period because breath testing occurs more frequently. In fact, there is a degree of certainty that if you drink drive over the festive season then chances are that you’ll get caught. We decided to redefine breath testing by explaining that it is anything but random at this time of year.
