Newsreader (serious): Tonight at 7 – “Crayonectomy”: the story of the intellectually challenged man who donated his body to science and the scientists who discovered a crayon lodged in his brain. And “Tomacco Tycoon”: the story of the man who made a fortune crossing a tomato with a tobacco plant to create the Tomacco - just how addictive are these foul-tasting vegetables?
[The Simpsons theme music] The Simpsons...
VO: ...Still every week night at 7. Now on SKY 1.
Brief Explanation
New Zealand is in the grip of a TV channel war for a share of the 7PM Current Affairs slot. With the country quickly tiring of all the hype, we took the opportunity to spoof the major channels, offering New Zealanders an alternative current affairs show playing in the same time slot – “The Simpsons” on SKY 1.
