The radio commercial ’Hamburg’. (SFX: A smooth Jazz beat in the background.)(An interesting narrator’s voice:)Somewhere on a street in Hamburg. She is driving in her car.He is walking his English bulldog. She keeps her red hair cut short. He has his shirt unbuttoned to display his chest hair. She convinced her husband to assume her family name.He is divorced for the third time. She recently founded the ’Against the ’man’ in the word ’mankind’ movement. He is president of the Quintero Brevas cigar fan club. She is on her way to go demonstrate for more equal rights. He is looking forward to his third blind date this week. She is checking for paintbombs and the megaphone on the passenger seat. He is stepping out onto the road and ... (SFX: The loud beeping sound of the Volkswagen Pedestrian Monitoring System.)(The narrator continues:)Thanks to the Pedestrian Monitoring System from Volkswagen these two people will never meet. Fortunately.(Off-Speaker:)Volkswagen.
What happens in the advert. In our spot ‘Hamburg’ we tell the story of two people moving along the same street. A feminist driving in her car. And a macho guy walking his English bulldog on the sidewalk. With every sentence, we notice that these two people are totally different and that they should better never meet.At the end of the story, the macho guy steps on to the street and the feminist as the equally distracted driver hurtles towards him, we dissolve to:Thanks to Pedestrian Monitoring System from Volkswagen these two people will never meet. Fortunately.
