MVO: This summer at Warwick Castle, there’s a sight that must be seen

Twenty tonne it weights and ten men high, it’s a mighty Siege Machine

Attack, Attack, you’ll hear them cry, as the catapult draws ne-ee-ear.

It hurls boulders two hundred yards, you can almost smell the fe-ee-ear.

With jousting too and birds of prey, it’s a marvel to be seen

It’s Britain’s greatest mediaeval experience, off the M40 at junction fifteen.


Brief Explanation

In English Mediaeval times a common way of sharing a message to the masses was to use a
‘Minstrel’, a lyrical storyteller who would travel around villages sharing his tale. In keeping with
the authentic experience at Warwick Castle to advertise the ‘SEIGE MACHINE’ event we use the
same Mediaeval story telling technique on radio to encourage people to visit.
