When it came to describing the taste of Domino’s, social listening told us there were no words to describe it. Instead, people expressed themselves through GIFs, memes and emojis. We highlighted this ‘mouth-boggling’ effect on TV and radio with on-trend technique ‘face-swapping’, then gave people the social tools to describe the indescribable feeling of Domino’s. Our digital strategy saw us launch a GIPHY channel, giving fans GIFEELINGs to express their love of Domino’s. We produced a Snapchat lens for people to ‘boggle' themselves. People soon began ‘boggling’ everything. A mouth-boggling social movement was born from a socially informed TV ad.
