Brief Explanation:
Baseball fans in Japan are aging fast. Especially for Yomiuri GIANTS, who has license agreement with adidas, the percentage of their young fans has dropped drastically. There was an urgent need to turn as many young Japanese people into GIANTS fans. “GIANTS DIGITAL TRYOUT” is an iPhone APP to test baseball’s four basic skills: Pitch, Bat, Run and Catch. This cool and fun digital idea created new bond between GIANTS and the young audiences, turning them into GIANTS fans. Top 9 record-holders were invited to GIANTS training-camp and enjoyed surreal experience of being part of the team with professional players.
