SYNOPSIS : THE FILM TELLS A TOUCHING STORY OF A YOUNG MAN CELEBRATING HIS GRADUATION AND, A HEARTBREAKING STORY OF HIS FATHER REFUSING CANCER TREATMENT IN ORDER FOR HIM TO BE ABLE TO ATTEND COLLEGE. THE STORY BEAUTIFULLY BRINGS FORTH HOW A MIDDLE CLASS FATHER HAD TO MAKE A DECISION BETWEEN SPENDING ONE'S HARD EARNED SAVINGS INTO HIS TREATMENT WHICH MAY OR MAY NOT BE SUCCESSFUL OR INSTEAD SAVING UP THE FUNDS FOR ONE'S CHILD'S EDUCATION. THIS IS A DECISION THAT NO ONE SHOULD BE FORCED MAKE AND HDFC DEBT FUND ADDRESSES THIS GRAVE PROBLEM.

WE FEEL THIS FILM IS ELIGIBLE TO WIN IN THIS CATEGORY SINCE THE CAST ARE PERCEIVED MORE AS 'REAL PEOPLE' THAN MERE ACTORS WHO CONNECT WITH EACH ONE HAVING WATCHED THE FILM. SPECIFIC ATTENTION HAS BEEN PAID EACH OF THE CAST MEMBERS, BE IT THE AUNT LOOKING AT THE BOY WITH COMPLETE FONDNESS OR THE CHILD IN THE END WHO IS MOST OBLIVIOUS TO WHAT IS HAPPENING AROUND HIM. EACH MEMBER HAS BEEN HANDPICKED AND PARTICULARLY CHOSEN BEFITTING THE SCRIPT AND THE ROLE.
