This is MullenLowe London latest campaign for Inspiring Girls, following on from the huge success of our campaign last year for Inspiring The Future which you helped us with coverage ( its had over 30million views to date with zero media spend! Shockingly, in children’s books, TV shows and films, only 29% of characters are women and even then, they’re usually sidekicks or damsels in distress. MullenLowe London created a film with the help of a female animator, Sophie Markatatos, in the hope that the big studios will commit to creating more lead female characters. We also used ran press and outdoor using for incredibly talented female illustrators from different parts of the world. In fact apart from a few token men the entire campaign was created using female talent.
