English Description
The aim of this film is to create awareness of the problems that arise from the neglect of the elderly, and particularly how neglect manifests itself in the form of physical and psychological violence.

Working on the basis that increased debate of these issues and a better understanding of the problem can substantially reduce the number of cases and enable institutions and communities to take action when necessary, Cupido chose to produce a film that would generate enough impact to create the necessary level of awareness within society and the medical profession in particular.

The issue of neglect amongst the elderly has become increasingly important in Portugal after it was revealed that the body of an elderly lady was discovered this year in her apartment not far from Lisbon, 8 years after she had died.
