Message: Santa Maria is an old and established spices brand in Estonia with the spontaneous awareness at 80% in 2002. Competitive situation is quite favourable for Santa Maria as there are very few competitors with rather predictable media mix - mostly cooking programs sponsorship packages and print advertising.
Santa Maria new food concepts Tex Mex and Spicy World are not so widely used by the consumers, mostly because these concepts are new in Estonia and Estonians are rather conservative in their cooking habits, especially people over 35. Also Mexican and Asian food (different components offered by Tex Mex and Spicy World food concepts) is not familiar and people are afraid to experiment, the price of these products is not very low either.
Media advertising budget of Tex Mex and Spicy World was rather limited.
