This hilarious campaign from the Cape of Good Hope SPCA reminds us we all have that one family member that is just a little bit off. Maybe not as off as Freddy Krueger or Hannibal Lecter, but a little bit off nonetheless. But luckily, there is a family member you can choose - a family member that won’t stay in their room all day listening to goth-techno. The SPCA also threw the question out in social media, asking people which family member they would swap out for an SPCA dog. Nic Preen, lead singer of Al Bairre, got involved and before you could say “furry little friend”, the SPCA organised a real life family swap where a Preen family member got voted out for Tucker, who then went on to be adopted. The SPCA have received an overwhelming response to the campaign with adoption rates having increased by 50% at the time of going to press.
