Brief Explanation
The Fiorucci cold-cuts film is based on two things that are currently considered peculiarly Italian.
Italy is the country with the most extraordinary culinary heritage, of which Fiorucci is an accredited ambassador, but it is also one of the most corrupt countries in Europe. Over the last year, corruption-related scandals have occurred with alarming frequency. The Italians have had to swallow more corruption than mortadella and this was the germ of the film, which was deliberately aired on TV the same day as the latest political elections.
