The School for Justice is Now Open for Business
MassiveMusic creates music score for J. Walter Thompson Amsterdam and Free a Girl Movement’s film for educational initiative taking girls out of prostitution and into prosecution
MassiveMusic has teamed up with J. Walter Thompson Amsterdam to create a bold and modern score for Free a Girl Movement’s latest campaign film ‘Determined to Fight Back’. The stirring film shows the first class at the world’s first School for Justice studying hard to fight back – the legal way.
The educational programme was launched in April and will take underage girls out of India’s brothels, rescuing them from forced prostitution and educating them. The girls have started an education programme to become lawyers and prosecutors with the power to prosecute the criminals that once owned them. India has the most underage girls trapped in prostitution in the world, with over 1.2 million children forced to work in illegal brothels.
The campaign consists of a number of films, with MassiveMusic being brought onto the project to provide all the musical scores. ‘Determined to Fight Back’ has a surprisingly upbeat tempo for the subject matter, but it conveys the strength and determination of the girls, whilst underlining the importance of the issue and the powerful path that the girls are taking.
Moos Lamerus, Music Producer at MassiveMusic, comments: “It’s been a real privilege to combine music and storytelling on this remarkable project. We created an emotional, stimulating and modern score: because the solution that School of Justice offers is bold and empowering, we wanted music to be an assisting tool for igniting awareness for change.”
"We hope that by supporting School of Justice's remarkable solution through music we will turn up the volume for the voiceless to fight child prostitution,” adds Hans Brouwer, Founder & CEO at MassiveMusic.
The School For Justice is supported by a leading global creative team, led by J. Walter Thompson Amsterdam. Directed by New Amsterdam Film Company’s Juliette Stevens, the films feature the first class for 2017, showing their determination to fight back against their perpetrators and to overcome the harrowing ordeal that they went through.
