English Description
Having enjoyed decades as the industry’s “sexy” media channel, Free TV Australia (the industry body representing all of Australia's commercial free-to-air television licensees) found that television has been re-cast as “traditional” media over the past few years due to the seduction by online and social media. The challenge was therefore to get a somewhat cynical trade audience of media, creative agencies and marketers to reappraise television as an innovative and relevant medium, and reconsider how they can take advantage of its innovations.

2020 Vision: an industry initiative dedicated to exploring how television will evolve over the next ten years. This involved the commissioning of a six-part documentary series that sought the opinions of industry experts and pioneers on the future of the television platform. The films provide unprecedented access to business leaders, industry visionaries and production pioneers from Australia and around the world, and present an honest and informed discussion around how the medium is evolving and how current trends will shape television viewing in the future. Housed online, the idea needed to work in targeted channels for our very specific audience.
