Credits & Description

A new work from David&Goliath for Kia Motors America 2014 Kia Cadenza. The campaign launched today with a :30 TV spot "Reunion,"
The 2014 Kia Cadenza marks Kia's first ever entry into the premium, near-luxe automotive segment. The Cadenza shows just how far Kia has come. With a myriad of luxury features, this new beauty is impossible to ignore.
In the launch commercial, the story is told visually with a metaphor. Through the streets of New York City, we tease parts of this vehicle. For every glimpse of the car, we see a glimpse of the beautiful woman driving it. A shot of the HID headlights is followed by a shot of the woman's eyes. A graphic shot of the well-designed taillights is followed by a graphic shot of the woman's lips. We tease and tantalize, and follow them both on their journey.
Throughout the ride, we hear the iconic deep voice of David Bowie singing the song "Let's Dance." The track is remixed by L.A. house enthusiasts InFiction. The result is something that is mysterious, sexy and modern.
Eventually the Cadenza crosses the Manhattan Bridge and the driver stops at her destination. As the stiletto heel steps out of the driver's side, we see the driver has truly arrived at her 20-year class reunion. As she confidently strides into the party, we realize that, in many ways, the Cadenza is like that girl from high school. We may not have noticed her before, but now she is impossible to ignore.
