Taylor James, creative production studio in London and New York, today launches the global interactive campaign for Disney & Lilly Diabetes, educating children with diabetes through an enchanting woodland journey. The 3D animation exemplifies the concept from GSW, Ohio-based healthcare advertising agency, to capture a child’s imagination and help them to engage with diabetes, whilst connecting them to useful resources. It is currently being used at conferences and fairs worldwide to engage children, parents and members of the medical profession alike.

Well known London and New York based studio, Taylor James, are taking the 3D advertising industry by storm with their digital wizardry, and this latest endeavor is just one of the complete integrated productions they have delivered. To create this sparkling animated spot, the studio harnessed imaginative influence from their strong creative team to deliver this pure CGI (computer generated imagery) material and align a seamless production solution for GSW. Taylor James produced the preceding 3D print campaign for Disney and Lilly Diabetes under the same concept earlier this year.

The animation takes you through a large dusty book, where trees appear and you are transported to a secret woodland grove, featuring interactive elements sprinkled with fairy dust, enabling children and their parents to zoom into various spots linking to cookbooks, novels and web resources all related to Diabetes. The final piece features sparkling toadstools, pixie dust, gem studded cobwebs, beautiful waterfalls and hidden tree dens.

The concept and look development was a welcome challenge for the studio, which is renowned for the photorealistic still and motion productions. Ed Taylor, the studio’s Creative Lead, says “we had already created a print campaign for this client on the same theme, so had previously developed a look and feel for the fairy dust, the woodland setting and for key features such as the vines and mushrooms, which gave us a sound foundation. However, the animation brief demanded that we go deeper into the woods, bringing them to life and peering more closely at the details…a challenge that would really stretch our creative muscles…as ever, up against a highly demanding schedule.”
