Credits & Description

“Endangered Species” is a short independent film by an independent filmmaker about independent filmmaking for an independent film festival.

Created for the Malibu International Film Festival, it’s the latest from writer/director Olivier Agostini, via LA based production company Kontagious and agency-hybrid Creme Brulee. The spot portrays the independent filmmaker as an endangered species, told in a comedic wildlife documentary-style short film.

“Likening independent filmmakers to endangered species instantly establishes the plight and hardships of not only preserving such an art form, but nurturing and encouraging its survival.” Agostini said. ”Although the spot is comedic in nature, the underlying message acknowledges the challenges and obstacles independent filmmakers face on a daily basis.”

The 2012 Malibu International Film Festival is on from September 22-23.
