Since the turn of the century, there’d definitely been something missing from television in Britain. Everyone felt it. A nation united in the odd feeling that something quite fundamental wasn’t there. Turns out is was the Tetley Tea Folk. Stalwarts of British TV advertising from 1973 ‘til the dawn of the 21st century, they’d been unceremoniously ditched. But they hadn’t been forgotten. Not by the public at any rate. Facebook groups calling for their return and a constant stream of begging letters to Tetley proved it. Where were our short-legged, flat-capped friends? What happened to them? No-one knew. Not even Tetley themselves. And that’s where we came in.
