Timberland and strategic image-making agency YARD have teamed up to launch a new campaign this week, “The Modern Trail,” which is designed to appeal not only to millennials, but to the "outdoor life-styler" who embodies both a trendy and outdoorsy style. The brand promise of Everyday Adventure (embracing the importance of outdoor exploration to urban shoppers) leads the vision of this season's work.
By weaving in musical partner Jamie N. Commons, who releases his debut album this week, YARD designed a product-focused story of aspiration, adventure and seamless adaptability. The spots were filmed in a variety of locations, with the city playing a role in all of them. Whether directly in a loft or hiking with the skyline in the distance, the series of :15 spots focuses on both the collection and the versatility of how consumers can wear and use the pieces.
