Two men are sitting on benches at a cricket match, one is rummaging through his bag. He gives up searching and tells his friend "Oh man, I forgot my ball box". His friend looks at him puzzled. "-5" man points. He then asks his friend "Can I borrow yours?". "-15" man points - his friend slaps him accross him accross the face.


The objective of the ads was to maintain the Hilux’s image of toughness and make sure that the toughness of the Hilux rubs off on the driver in a tongue-in-cheek, laddish kind of way, while at the same time driving the consumer to the Man-Up website- the cornerstone of the campaign.
