76 Director Dan Gifford delivers another dose of automotive excitement in this brilliant spot for the new Mercedes Benz E-Class. It’s an extraordinary piece of technology - a car that can ‘think’ ahead and take decisions to avoid danger, evade traffic and improve its driver’s quality of life.The film’s central theme - in line with the Mercedes' special abilities - is ‘intuition', embodied by an ultra stylish and accomplished E-Class driver. We observe our hero as he negotiates a succession of stunningly visual challenges - beating the stock market, hand-to-hand combat, zen archery, tango dancing - with ease and panache. Intercut with these scenes Dan showcases the E-Class in action through a series of stunning photographic portraits. The film was shot in Los Angeles and boasts an intensely cinematic look - no less than you’d expect from stellar DOP and all-round good guy Newton Thomas Sigel (Usual Suspects, Drive, X-Men). The film was written by BBDO China's Arthur Tsang and Howard Mok.
