Synopsis:
This Mother’s Day, we honoured the strength and resilience of SickKids mothers of children with severe illness. The film begins with raw and emotional scenes of SickKids moms breaking down in private. One mom breaks down in tears in the shower, another bangs her fist against the steering wheel of her parked car as she screams in frustration, while a third sits in silence in a chapel praying for strength. About half way through the film, we revisit these moms to see them begin to pick themselves up off the floor. They wipe away the tears, take a deep breath and put on a brave face so they can act as a pillar of strength for their children.
