History of Mercedes-Benz

Mercedes-Benz was founded on June 28, 1926, by Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler. Mercedes-Benz gives credit to Karl Benz's for creating the first gasoline-powered car, the Benz Patent Motorwagen. The company name was incorporated in January 1886. Next year Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach transformed the stagecoach by adding a gasoline engine and the first of Mercedes vehicle was distributed for sale in 1901 by Daimler Motoren Gesellschaft.
